All new students must complete four hours of service to Martel to receive points in Room Draw, and students who do not complete their hours put themselves at serious risk of not getting their room of choice. Student service hours are organized and approved by the Vice President and Floor Lords.
The good news: getting service hours is easy. They’ll be given out for helping with all sorts of Martel events, such as setting tables for Associates Nights or cleaning up after Oktoberfest. E-mails for opportunities are sent out regularly, and most students have no trouble completing their hours.
